The Center for the Media and Performing Arts opened in spring 2016 with contemporary new spaces for Dance, Drama & Theater, Music, and Radio, Television & Film programs. The C building features 31,155 sq. ft. of multi-purpose space perfect for the diverse programs it houses.
Students now enjoy a cutting-edge, fully digital TV studio for producing its weekly, student-produced Newscene news show. Additionally, the program has a pair of adjoining computer labs that serve as the newsroom, along with access to editing bays and smaller production spaces for audio and video recording and editing.
In addition to serving as the home of Newscene, the studio space can be reconfigured to accommodate a wide range of productions.
