RTVF/DJRN recruitment flyerThere is plenty of new coming to Newscene this spring.

Professor Chris Acedo takes over as the lead professor RTVF 145, which is the class responsible for the production of the 30-minute weekly news broadcast show. Acedo comes with years of professional broadcast experience in San Diego, and he is a Newscene alumnus.

He will be joined by Nicole Vargas, who joined the City College faculty in the fall. The former multimedia journalist at the San Diego Union-Tribune will assist Acedo and the students with reporting, editing and producing content for the show, as well as the new Newscene website.
